Shadowform™ Rectal Markers

Shadowform Rectal Markers can be used for both port films and simulation films. They are made from a soft, flexible barium-impregnated polymer, are individually packaged and are disposable. Shadowform Rectal Markers are available in 10 cm and 38 cm lengths.

The tubes are ribbed at 1 cm intervals to provide a convenient reference to compensate for film magnification. A detachable T-bar handle is provided as an external anchor. An open distal end permits the marker to function as part of a barium delivery system.

Rectal Marker

Position and magnification can be determined accurately by counting the lead balls which are spaced 1 cm apart. The marker can be placed on top or inside the patient and used with the anus locator during simulation or port filming. The rectal marker consists of 5/16" diameter flexible tubing, 3/16" diameter lead balls, and adjustable stainless steel anus locator.
