How To Use ExacTray Custom Blocking System

HOW EXACTRAY WORKS
Your ExacTray system comes as a series of trays that your shielding blocks are mounted to, using the Kwik-Grip™ attachment system. ExacTray also comes with a tracing transparency that assists you in cutting blocks that can be perfectly centered and easily oriented on the tray using your block cutter.

CUT
To cut a block, place the included tracing transparency on the block cutter tabletop. Trace the treatment field and then form the perimeter of the block by tracing the appropriate line on the tracing transparency.

ATTACH
Once the block is formed, place it in the center of the tray. Visually align the grooves on the block with the holes on the tray. Orient the block on the tray correctly by matching up the orientation notch on the block with the line on the tray. Then slide the Kwik-Grip™ hooks into the holes—one on each side of the block—and secure them with the provided wing nuts.

ALIGN
One of the unique features of ExacTray is that it only takes seconds to adjust the block in any direction. All one needs to do is loosen the thumbscrews, reposition the block, and retighten the thumbscrews. It is very simple and can be done even while a patient is lying on the treatment couch.
