The NaI scintillation detector of the CRC-BETA Enchanced Counter measures beta activities (such as Sr-89 and P-32) up to 25 mCi. The user can define calibration factors for more than 20 radionuclides and can specify container effect compensation for each nuclide. The optimized counting geometry of the CRC-BETA minimizes the effects of the syringe or vial and the sample volume. The LCD screen identifies the nuclide setting as well as the activity. Warning trip levels for background counting rate, counting precision and impurity levels are user defined. The CRC-BETA includes auto-calibration, QC programs, and system tests. Integral lead shielding reduces background. The Auxiliary Lead Shield provides additional lead shielding to reduce background from high energy gamma emitters. An optional printer provides hard copy documentation for recordkeeping. |
