Designed to simulate a patient's neck, this lucite phantom has a two part insert that allows you to count from a bottle, vial or capsule and includes twelve 30 ml capacity source bottles. A special lucite capsule holder is supplied to enable the user to count capsules directly without having to dissolve them. The phantom's cylinder and carrier have scribe lines for accurate alignment and a flat surface on the cylinder allows either vertical or horizontal positioning. The phantom is 5" high x 5" in diameter. The Economy Neck Phantom duplicates the position of the thyroid in the average human. When water filled, the phantom is essentially tissue-equivalent and offers a simple means of counting I-131 standards. Source cavity is 5/8" in diameter x 1-11/16" long. Phantom is 5" d x 4 1/2" h. Unfilled, it weighs 1 lb. |
