ECT Elliptical Lung-Spine Phantom

The Elliptical Lung-Spine Body Phantom is used for evaluation of acquisition and reconstruction methods for cardiac and lung ECT studies. It can also be used for
evaluation of non-uniform attenuation and scatter compen-sation methods.

The phantom includes spine and fillable lung inserts. The lung inserts can be filled with Styrofoam® beads and water to simulate lung tissue density. The Phantom simulates anatomical structures and radioactivity distributions in the upper torso of human.

This elliptical phantom can be used with the optional Cardiac Insert (ECT/CAR/I) or Fillable Spine Insert (ECT/FL-SPINE/I). When used with the body contour rings, the upper torso of a small (~ 30 x 22 cm) patient is simulated.
