Handling Tools

Forceps are excellent tools for handling small objects in the hot lab, reducing radiation exposure.

Niptongs are used to handle small radioactive objects. The compression spring maintains a strong grip on the object until the tension is released by squeezing the finger bar.

Captongs are simple devices used to pick up vials. The aluminum Captongs have rubber tips for a positive grip.

Vial Shields

Color Coded Vial Shields are the easiest way to avoid a mix up. These vial shield colors match the C.I.S. kits and are compatible with most radiopharmaceutical vials.

The Tungsten Vial Shield is designed to greatly reduce exposure to vials containing liquid radioisotopes.

High Density Lead Glass Vial Shields reduce hand exposure and offer complete 360° visibility.

Used for heated preparation of Sulphur Colloid, MAG-3, Cardiolite, AcuTect and NeoTect, the Heated Preparation Vial Shield will accommodate vial sizes up to 1.5” diameter x 3.125” high.

The Zevalin™ Vial Shield is designed to attenuate beta and bremsstrahlung radiation associated with Yttrium-90.

Dose Preparation Accessories

The Corning Hot Plate is used for heating sulfur colloid and other kits that require specific and constant temperatures.

The Electronic Stopwatch/Timer Counts up to 99 minutes, 59 seconds, or down from 100 minutes.
