The Thallium Injection Shield helps protect the technologist and patient prior to administration by integrating with an IV or butterfly infusion system. The shield holds a 3 cc or 5 cc syringe firmly in place on the patient's arm with an adjustable Velcro® fastener and permits immediate safe injection of thallium.
The barrel of the shield is constructed of .08" (2 mm) thick tungsten that will reduce radiation exposure. The 4.2 density lead glass window provides protection and visibility. The interior of the barrel behind the glass has a white coating that improves the view of the syringe and contents. A thumb screw holds syringes firmly in place. |
