Ion Chamber Survey Meters 451B and 451P

The Models 451B and 451P Ion Chamber Survey Meters are hand-held battery operated units that measure alpha, beta, gamma and
x-ray radiation. They employ micro-processor and LCD technology and have an ergonomic handle that features a large diameter cushioned grip designed to reduce fatigue associated with extended use. Cases are constructed of light weight, high strength materials and are sealed against moisture.

Model 451B has an integral beta shield which serves as an equilibrium thickness for photon measurements.

Both survey meters are ideal for site surveys and a wide range of medical and health physics applications. They are regularly used by Police and Fire Departments, government agencies, state inspectors, emergency response and hazmat teams, nuclear medicine labs, and hospital radiation safety officers. Please specify “R” or “Sv” measure-ment unit when ordering.

The optional 451 Assistant for Excel provides remote control for many of the 451 functions, real-time data logging with user defined alarm parameters and a real time virtual instrument display.

The Wireless Survey Meter Solution sends data back wirelessly to a command center on suspicious devices or assess area contamin-ation levels. This is done by connecting the Model 451B and 451P through their RS-232 ports to connect to either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Modules. This feature allows real time data to be streamed to the Microsoft® compatible custom Model 451 Assistant for Excel Software (Model 451EXL).
